TraderMind Journal ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our platform, and applies globally, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent international privacy laws.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

Email address, name (if provided), authentication credentials and profile settings.

Trading data

Trades you log, screenshots, annotations, notes, tags, calendar entries and any content you create in your journal.

Usage data

Basic analytics on how features are used (aggregated and anonymized where possible), browser type, device, IP address and access times.

Payment data

Handled entirely by our PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store your full card number on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate, maintain and improve the service.
• To provide AI coaching features on your explicit request.
• To communicate service updates, security notices and support responses.
• To detect, prevent and address technical or security issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Bases (GDPR)

We process personal data on the basis of contract performance (delivering the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (product improvement, security), consent (marketing communications) and legal obligation.

4. Data Sharing

We never sell your data. We share limited data only with:

• Infrastructure providers (managed hosting, database and storage) under strict data processing agreements.
• Payment processors to complete transactions.
• AI providers when you use AI-powered features, limited to the minimum data required to generate a response.
• Authorities when legally required.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. Upon deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is legally required. Backups are purged within 30 days of the deletion request.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing and export your personal data. To exercise any right, contact us via the Contact page. We respond within 30 days.

7. International Transfers

Data may be processed in countries outside your residence. When we transfer data outside the EEA we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Trades are isolated per user with database-level row security. We follow industry best practices for authentication, access control and vulnerability management.

9. Children's Privacy

TraderMind Journal is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification.
